The TPLF on Power in Ethiopia!!
The principal political objective of the Tigray Liberation Front has aligned with the positions of the Eritrean Liberation Front and the Somali Western Liberation Front, namely, to achieve secession from the rest of Ethiopia.
As the TPLF infiltrated the country and the Ethiopian military forces were decimated and demoralised, neither the TPLF nor its partner force, the ELF, encountered any resistance from the Ethiopian Army or from other ethnic groups.
Tensions arose in the Somali Region; nevertheless, they were largely unsuccessful due to a lack of leadership within the disorganised political body.
The TPLF, aided by the Eritrean Military Organisation, succeeded in seizing control of all of Ethiopia. The success in controlling Ethiopia was not solely due to the assistance of the Eritrean Army, but also attributed to a deceptive political agenda and a constitution formulated during the London Conference, which included representatives from all Ethiopian ethnic groups except for the Somali delegation, who were neither invited nor permitted to participate. The justification for the exclusion of the Somali delegation is clear: the Somali matter relates to a secession from Ethiopia through a democratic referendum. The summit was organised by the Western powers: the USA, UK, France, and Germany in London. The West opposed the disintegration of Ethiopia into autonomous ethnic states. With the consent and influence of Western Powers, an artefact was constructed from various groups with divergent political perspectives and interests, culminating in a singular political party system termed the EPRDF (Ethiopian Popular Democratic Front).
